The upcoming International Human Factors and Ergonomics Society that we come across is going to reveal specific attributes of email users that are more vulnerable to scams and attacks in the virtual world. Their cognitive, behavioral and perceptual traits were looked into to draw some conclusions. The researchers have found that women and those who are introverted or overconfident are likely to be an easy victim for these scammers. They are not able to make out those fraudulent emails and fake correspondence, with an ulterior motive to get passwords and credit card information, or to send viruses. These victims were not only overconfident but had full confidence in their ability to remain protected.
